Fake Viagra gang busted

Chinese police Thursday hailed the bust of a Sino-U.S. piracy ring making fake Viagra.

Chinese and U.S. authorities had cooperated to crack the ring, with one American and 11 Chinese arrested as recently as last week on charges of producing 440,000 pills of fake Viagra, Cialis and other drugs worth 40 million yuan if sold as real, Ministry of Public Security officials said in Beijing.

Wal-Mart Charges $175 for 'Stolen' Manure

BROWNSVILLE, Ore. - It could have happened to anyone: Charles Gastorf and his wife, Cheryl, forgot to pay the $10 tab for 10 bags of steer manure during a recent shopping trip to their local Wal-Mart.

The two say that in the confusion of shopping on that March day they simply forgot to add in the cost of the manure. When the Gastorfs explained their forgetfulness to Lebanon City Attorney Tom McHill, he dropped shoplifting charges against them.

That could have been the end of the story, except for the letter from the world's largest retailer that soon arrived in their mailbox, demanding $175 in civil damages.

Woman Charged With Smuggling Fish in Skirt

SYDNEY, Australia - There must have been something fishy about the way she walked. Customs officials said Monday they stopped a woman as she arrived Friday in the southern city of Melbourne on a flight from Singapore and found 51 live tropical fish allegedly hidden in a specially designed apron under her skirt.

Customs officers will charge the woman once they establish what species the fish are. If convicted of smuggling wildlife, she faces a fine of up to U.S. $83,617 and could also get a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
